Jerry Carrington is responsible for Turner Patterson’s licensing/merchandising efforts in the financial services, wireless communications/technology, publishing and food/beverage product categories.  He has structured leading edge co-branded licensing deals in the credit card and wireless areas.  Administratively, Jerry oversees all operational and financial activities on behalf of the company.

Jerry also leads Turner Patterson’s New Markets Tax Credit practice which provides consulting advice (advisory, structuring, and capital raising) to operating companies, investment firms, and municipalities with a particular focus on early stage operating companies and large real estate projects. 

In addition, Jerry is a co-founding general partner of INROADS Capital Partners, L.P., a $50 million private equity firm in the Chicago area that invests in middle to later stage companies.  Investors in INROADS include some of the most distinguished institutional private equity investors in the U.S. including CalPERS, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Over the past 20 years, Jerry has made 31 investments, excluding real estate, totaling over $1 billion (including 8 acquisitions and 14 growth equity) across a wide variety of industries and has served on the Board of Directors of 7 private companies.  He has extensive experience in identifying and attracting world class operating teams, investors, and deal specific resources to investments in any industry.  Jerry has broad experience in structuring private equity investments; setting strategic and tactical plans for new company formation, fund-raising and investment; and providing board level advisory counsel on strategy, planning and financial matters.

Previously, Jerry was an investment banker with WestPac Banking Corporation, one of Australia’s largest banks, where he was influential in developing the bank’s $75 million private equity effort.  Prior to that, Jerry was an investment manager in the private investment area of the Travelers (Citicorp), a banker with Mellon Bank, and a lawyer for two large corporate law firms in Phoenix (Snell & Wilmer) and Los Angeles (Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton).

Jerry has an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a law degree from UCLA Law School, and a B.A., cum laude, from Connecticut College.  He is a former Trustee of both Connecticut College in New London, CT and the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT.
